Continuing in Prayer

We all have opinions on prayer but it is not till we get serious about prayer do we realize opinions do not matter. It is that one on one with God in our quiet time that begins to take shape and we begin to see His will in our lives instead of our own. If we are indeed serious about prayer, and believe it is a powerful tool, we will tend to see life changing events all around us because we have grown in our faith! The Apostle Paul exhibited this on his way to Rome when a terrible storm broke out. What was Paul doing, resting in the Lord  when the angel gave him word that all would be spared of disaster and encouraging Paul that he would reach his destination. He stood in the face of disaster calm and exhorting others because of the prayerful faithful relationship he had with God. Prayer is not just words we say they should be petitions to God knowing that He hears us and will do as He says He will. I John 5:14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
